Alena Kupčíková. Hairies in a Sun Dance

A presentation in the form of a mobile gallery of exhibitionist drawings made out of female pubic hair by Alena Kupčíková (1976) that reveal erotic taboos.

A graduate of the Prague Academy of Fine Arts, Kupčíková explores the means of expression provided by new media. She transforms language, movements and whole systems into sound and visual records.

The project includes a book (due to be published during the exhibition) that contains statements by women who gave their own pubic hair out of which the drawings are made.

The exhibition also includes a sound installation in the form of a musical interpretation of the movement of the sun.
